Around the World

Black History cannot be understood within the borders of any one country.

People, ideas, cultures, commodities, and power have moved between Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, the Americas, Asia, and the Pacific for centuries. Those connections have created histories that continue to shape our communities today.

BHC's international conversations allow people to explore these connections together — discovering both shared experiences and important differences.

Our Around the World pages will introduce research, organisations, projects, and contributors from different countries and provide a home for recordings and resources connected with them.

We particularly want to strengthen direct links between people researching history in Africa, the Caribbean, and communities of the African diaspora.
